Laptop Remote Power Switch

Inspired by this thread on and using this service manual from HP I just finished soldering a remote power switch to my laptop.

The switch & soldering iron came from Radio Shack. The wire leads were taken from an ethernet cable.

The laptop will be used as a car computer. Now I can boot it without having to pull it out of its hiding spot or deal with opening the lid.

Edit: there is a reed switch somewhere that prevents the laptop from booting when the lid is closed (or within ~30 degrees of being closed). I haven't been able to find it yet ...
